Tender eel, sweet but not overpowering sauce, perfect rice, savory soup, and great service. Worth coming, but the wait really is a bit long during rush hour...come on weekend or off hours!!

I loved the oyster soup (osuymono) (not pictured). Anago (saltwater eel) bowl was great. Their matcha tea (green tea) was tasty as well. I liked the tsukemono (pickles) as well. 8/10. I thought the anago was a bit dry though. A bit overpriced. 5000 yen for two people.

This restaurant focuses on serving only one dish. The Anago, saltwater eel, on rice with different side dishes and condiments. We loved the food here and while we had to wait quite long both to get in and to get our food it was still worth waiting for. It was such comfortfood, that I would like to eat many times. The pricing is quite high, so expect that, but I'm sure you will leave satisfied.
